  1. Happy Birthday Lynda, I think you will love the new camera. You take wonderful photos; I can only imagine what we will see now. Here is my unconventional way of learning how to use my T2i. Put it on a tripod; focus on something while in M mode. Start fiddling with the dials and watch the display; you can see how each dial affects the shot. That is how I got out of AUTO. 😉

    • Thank you Gary, that is exactly what I will do! I need a starting point, and I am so much better at ‘doing’ than reading a manual, although I think in this case I won’t be able to get by without doing some of that reading!

  2. Good luck with your new camera and lens. A fellow photographer and I have a goal of getting out to shoot once a week in the summer and twice a month in the winter. After a year we are both much better photographers than we were a year ago.

    Get out and shoot, learn your camera and lens so the controls are second nature, and most importantly – have fun!
