A Birthday Surprise

A Birthday Surprise

My father turned 83 today. During the party, he stood up and made a little speech – ” You all know that growing up with your grandmother (his mother) we weren’t the sentimental type (the understatement of the century, btw), and I know I’ve never said it to any of you, but I want you all to know that I love you, each and everyone of you, and I’m proud of you all” ~ and brought a tear to everyones eye, even his 6 children, who wouldn’t be caught dead with a tear in any of their eyes (we weren’t raised to be the sentimental type either, go figure :), and all the grandchildren. A Happy Birthday Miracle 🙂

      • Wow, what a dad … you have, my mum is in a wheel chair, not fair against her – but clear as a crystal. Your are so right … every day is a gift.
